Half-staff period and scope
Sunday, October 8, 2017.
Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service observance. In accordance with Public Law 107-51, the proclamation specifies half-staff display at all Federal office buildings. The half-staff date is distinct from the full Fire Prevention Week of October 8–14.
