• Polyester US flags: Read the exact fabric specification. Compare the listed yarn, ply and fabric construction rather than treating every polyester flag as identical.
• Cotton flags: A traditional fabric choice.

The Tricot Knit Polyester line is discontinued. It should not be confused with the other polyester options.

Choose the size and finish together

A nominal 3x5-foot size is 36 by 60 inches; a nominal 2.5x4-foot size is 30 by 48 inches. Follow your pole manufacturer's flag-size and load recommendations, and leave clearance from walls, roofs and landscaping. Material, heading and attachment details can vary by size, so compare the complete listing rather than the dimensions alone.

What is the difference between grommets and a pole sleeve?

Grommets are reinforced attachment holes for compatible clips or flag rings. A pole sleeve, also called a pole hem, fits over a compatible pole. Check the sleeve opening and any retaining tab; a sleeved flag does not necessarily have grommets.

Are these American flags made in the USA?

Many individual listings identify USA-made flags. Confirm the country-of-origin statement for the exact product and size you select rather than assuming every item has identical specifications.

Can I leave an outdoor flag up in severe weather?

Do not treat any fabric name as a storm rating. Follow the flag and pole care instructions, and take the flag down before severe weather when it is safe to do so.
